One Wild Wedding Proposal at The Wildcat Sanctuary
He was so wild about his girlfriend, that he asked her to marry him at The Wildcat Sanctuary.
Doug Mitchell surprised his girlfriend Jasmine Baba with a wedding proposal at Minnesota’s only big cat sanctuary.
The Wildcat Sanctuary hosted an intimate legendary donor event this past weekend. It was extra special for one guest who was asked to take her boyfriend’s hand in marriage.
The surprise proposal took place in front of over 100 wild cats that call the Sanctuary home.
The unknowing bride-to-be traveled all the way from her home in London. She is a huge animal lover and was excited to visit The Wildcat Sanctuary but little did she know about the big surprise planned for her.
The wedding proposal was delivered via a painting at the live auction with the message, “Jasmine, will you marry me?”
After, a large “Congratulations” sign was revealed in the tiger habitat nearby! Tigers Titan and Lilly joined in the celebration as they played with their Congratulations enrichment! The purrr-fect proposal was also featured on Kare11 and KSTP in the twin cities.
The Mitchell Family have been long time supporters of The Wildcat Sanctuary. They participate in the Sanctuary’s Sponsor-a-wild-one program and are sponsor parents of Raja, the cougar, who helped with the wedding proposal painting.
Congratulations to such a wonderful couple!
