Three bobcats
from three different worlds now live together at TWS where
they have truly bonded and can be wild at heart.
Claud is a wild born bobcat. When Claud was a kitten,
he was found caught and impaled on a fence in California.
Wildlife Rehabilitators were unable to save his right rear
leg and it had to be amputated. This injury meant Claud could
no longer be released back into the wild and TWS was contacted.
Living with Buddy and Benson, he is doing wonderfully
and sleeps cuddled up next to Benson. Being wild born, he
is still timid of humans, but will come greet us to get his
daily meal of chicken or beef. Buddy was seized from a person who had him illegally in California.
TWS was contacted because the owner's paperwork showed he
was purchased from a breeder in Minnesota and authorities
wanted to track down the person who sold him. We agreed to
take Buddy into our program. He was so skinny when he arrived
and had terrible scarring on his neck from a collar.
After a few months, Buddy put on weight, got the most beautiful silver coat and can always be found purring and rubbing on his enclosure wall.
Benson, is one of a kind. He is the happiest bobcat you will ever find. We were contacted by a sanctuary in Arizona who heard of a rehabber who needed to find a home for a young bobcat. Benson arrived purring and excited to meet his new bobcat friends.
