matisse

Matisse is a male Savannah cat, a hybrid between a domestic cat and African Serval. He was surrendered to the Humane Society with three other exotic hybrids. The owner stated that the cats were soiling his house and wanted them euthanized. After putting one cat down, the Humane Society realized that these cats were not domestic and contacted TWS. We were so sad to hear one cat had already lost his life, but we were happy we could save the other three.

Matisse is the peacemaker at the Sanctuary. He hasn't met a human, a cat or even a dog that hasn't fallen in love with him! He curls up to even the grumpiest cats and within minutes he's grooming them and he's accepted. Newcomers are quickly acclimated to the group with his help.
