Book TWS’ Founder for your next corporate event

Tammy Thies is more than the founder of The Wildcat Sanctuary, she is also an advocate, marketing professional and public speaker.

Tammy Thies_IFAWWith a marketing and journalism degree from the University of St. Thomas, Thies developed brand and marketing programs for national clients cokesuch as The Coca-Cola Company, Holiday Inn, TimberlandPro, The Islands of the Bahamas and more.

In 1999, Thies founded The Wildcat Sanctuary, a non-profit, big cat rescue located in Sandstone, MN.  TWS provides a natural sanctuary to big cats that were once pets and inspires change to end the captive wildlife crisis.  TWS is funded solely on private donations.  Combining natural and spacious habitats with a life free of exhibition, TWS allows all residents to live wild at heart.

Thies was a full-time advertising executive who became aware of the need for such a facility through her exposure to big cats during photo shoots and advertising campaigns. Tammy learned that throughout the United States, tens of thousands of big cats are privately owned as pets, and used as performers or for-profit breeding. Too often the cats outlived their usefulness and had nowhere to go.

A leading spokesperson and expert witness for the big cat crisis and protection nationally, Thies works with governmental agencies and private organizations to strengthen regulations protecting the welfare of big cats in captivity.

She is a sought-after speaker on the captive wildlife crisis, non-profit marketing and personal development –  turning your dreams into a career.

Thies has been the subject of numerous features in Best Friends Magazine, Lavender Magazine, on Animal Planet’s Fatal Attraction: Big Cats, The History Channel, CNN, and the international documentary: The American Tiger to name a few.

Her entertaining and engaging presentations are a must for anyone interested in animal advocacy, developing their personal or business brand or defining their professional vision.
