Marketing & Education Internship

Do you like people and animals? Do you get excited about sharing that with others? Do you see the potential to create positive change for animals in need? This internship is unique and allows many opportunities that will enhance your career in marketing, education and public relations.

  • Enhance your writing and speaking skills, get creative with events and outreach
  • Must be self-motivated, have basic computer skills and great with people
  • Assist in creating strategies to promote the Sanctuary’s mission and fundraising activities
  • Assist in developing, planning and executing brand awareness activities and events
  • Organize and send media releases and press kits
  • Write articles, press releases and newsletters
  • Book and work educational booths and outreach programs

On an off-site internships available.

Minimum commitment of three months required. Summer: Minimum of 20 hours per week, with weekday and weekend shifts. Fall/Spring: Minimum of 15 hours per week, with weekday and weekend shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Be in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, communications, or related field
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills and high quality work
  • Demonstrate ability to work with people of all ages, abilities and cultures
  • Be able to work independently and with others in team collaboration
  • Understand and follow required Sanctuary policies and procedures
  • Be able to regularly work weekdays and occasional weekends Social networking experience (Facebook, Twitter)
