zeke3Four Tigers begin their new life at The Wildcat Sanctuary.  Welcome home Griffen, Dimitri, Zeke and Pandora.

Born at a private zoo, Griffen and other cubs were torn from their mother when they were just a few days old.  They were put in a small room with large windows on two sides so the public could watch them – for an entry fee.

After a few weeks, they were picked up and passed around to paying visitors. All the visitors wanted was their picture taken with a cub.  All Griffen and the other cubs wanted was to sleep or nurse and be with their mother. Instead, they were passed from person to person as a photo prop.

This was their life.  They were pay-to-play cubs.  At only a few weeks old, cubs like Griffen turn a profit for private zoos that offer these cub petting exhibits.

Now, over 12 years later, Griffen, Dimitri, Zeke and Pandora have made their way here to The Wildcat Sanctuary – just in time for the holidays.

Because of YOU and your ongoing support, Griffen and the other tigers never have to turn a profit again. Instead, they’ll live wild at heart, feel grass under their feet, play with toys and live like tigers.

Sadly, we can’t provide them true freedom. But with your help, we can provide them the next best thing – 20161102pandoracompassion and dignity.

Did you know it costs approximately $10,000 a year to care for each tiger?  Their care for the first year alone will reach over $40,000!  Add on the cost of their vet care – each needs to be spayed and neutered.  And the price of a natural habitat so they can stretch their wild side. These costs can seem daunting.

Donate Donate $500 Donate $250 Donate $100 Donate $50 Donate $25

But you can’t put a price tag on giving a new life to Griffen, Dimitri, Zeke and Pandora.  Or the others still waiting.

With your gift, you can truly be a Holiday Hero for tigers like Griffen.  $125, $50 or even $35 really makes a difference.  No gift is too small. Every donation helps.

We invite you to be part of their new life at The Wildcat Sanctuary by donating today.  Griffen and the others know zekehow much you care for them.  Without YOU, we couldn’t say “yes” to tigers, cougars, bobcats and other wild cats in need.

We’re so thankful our family has expanded this holiday season.  Thank you for being a special part of it!

Is there another amount you’d like to give? Or, do you live outside the US?

The Wildcat Sanctuary (TWS) is a 501c3 non-profit, no-kill big cat rescue facility located in Sandstone, MN. TWS provides a natural sanctuary to wild cats in need and inspires change to end the captive wildlife crisis. We do not buy, breed or exhibit animals. TWS is funded solely by private donations and receives no state or federal funding. TWS is accredited by the American Sanctuary Association and the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries. The Sanctuary is a home for animals, not a zoo for people, and is not open to the public. Combining natural and spacious habitats with a life free of exploitation, the Sanctuary allows all residents to live wild at heart.
Any donations received in excess of a year’s care will go towards the daily care of other residents and sanctuary operations.
