Wine and Beer Tasting Safari grossed over $10,000!

The 2nd annual wine and beer tasting gala raised over $10,000 (gross) for the cats of The Wildcat Sanctuary. “Whiskers & Waves” took place Saturday evening, March 26 2011, from 6-9 pm.

The event was held at the Greysolon Ballroom and showcased many local and statewide breweries and wineries including Crispin Cider, Johnson Bros., Lake Superior Brewing Company, Paustis and Sons,South Shore Brewery, Summit Brewing Company,Warehouse Winery and Surly Brewing Company,

Over 80 guests were greeted with a passport and glass to journey through the many tasting stations.

This was special opportunity to get to know the Sanctuary and along the tasting path will be stories, photos and videos detailing the TWS residents and their lives before and after the Sanctuary.

Guests bid on unique auction items such as custom art, gift certificates and several specialty baskets. The Audubon Center of the Northwoods was also present with an educational booth. Attendees were entertained by wonderful music and had a chance to help a cat at the Feed a Feline Wall. A gift bazaar will also be available where guests could purchase one-of-a-kind sanctuary items.
