Some call them pets, but for most they’re illegal to own. The Wildcat Sanctuary in Sandstone rescued four bobcats near Mankato Thursday.

The owner gave up the cats after he was attacked. He bought the wild animals on the internet for $1,700.

The sanctuary says keeping bobcats as pets is a growing problem. The animals are illegal to own in Minnesota, unless you’re a registered game farm.
