Gail Plewacki, Board Chairperson
The Wildcat Sanctuary
PO Box 314
Sandstone, MN 55072
Dear Ms. Gail Plewacki:
I would like to express my appreciation towards the positive relationship the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) has had with The Wildcat Sanctuary founder, Tammy Thies. I want to make you aware of how impressed I have been with Tammy’s leadership, her expertise and her ability to motivate others while staying positive. Tammy has worked with IFAW and other partners on all aspects associated with big cats in captivity, whether it’s actively supporting legislation against the private ownership of big cats or working to provide optimal lifetime care in sanctuaries, which clearly includes TWS. Tammy is dedicated to the care and protection of animals that live their lives in captivity.
I have worked closely with Tammy for years and feel confident expressing my full support and admiration for the past, present and future contributions Tammy has made to TWS and for the positive effects she has had on so many other sanctuaries. It is my sincere hope that TWS will continue to take full advantage of her strategic vision and leadership in TWS efforts towards sustainability; and will continue to recognize the profound effect Tammy has had on impacting the lives and welfare of animals.
IFAW is a world-wide animal welfare organization which is concerned with providing best standards for animals that can’t be released back into the wild and reside in sanctuaries. I can’t think of a better partner to be associated with than TWS and in particular, Tammy.
Thank you for allowing me to express my gratitude for Tammy’s valuable contributions to all wild animals forced to live in captivity, to IFAW for her assistance in helping to promote its mission and to TWS success.
Gail A’Brunzo,
IFAW Wildlife Rescue Division Manager
