Dream is a female, F3 Bengal cat who came to live at The Wildcat Sanctuary in 2006. She was just a year old at the time.
A Bengal rescue group in Colorado contacted us about an F3 Bengal they were unable to socialize for adoption. There were few options for Dream, as with so many Bengal cats with a personality like hers. We agreed to take her in to live in the Hybrid Haven section of our sanctuary with other hybrids.
Find out what an F3 Bengal cat is and why we do NOT support breeding hybrids.
Life at the Sanctuary
Dream is the most beautiful girl you’ll ever see. She has the most amazing markings and gorgeous big green eyes. But as beautiful as Dream is, she did not grow up with regular interaction with humans. She’d bitten several volunteers at the Colorado facility where she was, one severely.
But, after years here at the sanctuary, Dream’s no longer a shy cat. Her calls for attention and treats can be heard as soon as morning rounds begin. And she also demands love from her caretakers. Once you tap the perch a few times, she’ll jump up to be pet and run circles around you. Quite a different cat from the one who arrived here so many years ago.
The bungalow Dream lives in features an indoor and outdoor area, providing perches, hammocks, dens, a pool, boulders, and pine trees all for the cats’ enjoyment. She has other hybrid cats to spend her days with. We’re so happy we were able to provide her what she needed all along.
How You Can Help
Caring for a wild cat for life – even a small hybrid like Dream – can be quite expensive. Hybrids usually come to us with special needs, genetic and/or medical issues due to their breeding.
Our sponsorship program helps support the cats’ care costs and allows you to form a special bond with them. Would you consider becoming Dream’s sponsor parent?
Or even a one time donation toward her care would be so appreciated. It’s easy to do using the buttons at the top of this page.
Thank you for caring about the little wild ones, too!
