Kiara is an Anatolian Shepherd/Pyrenees mix dog who came to live at The Wildcat Sanctuary in July of 2022. She was approximately two years old at the time.
Kiara had found herself unwanted and in a shelter in West Texas. Thankfully, Matty’s Heart and Soul Rescue transported her, along with other dogs, to Minnesota and approved the sanctuary as a foster for her.
Life at the Sanctuary
After weeks of getting to know Kiara, the sanctuary adopted her making her a permanent resident. She became the sanctuary’s one and only dog, living amongst over 120 wild cats who also call the sanctuary home.
She’s a sensitive soul and very submissive, especially to the office cats. Both Mr. Oreoh and Cinders enjoy intimidating her – so we are working on their manners.
She quickly learned that life is good at the sanctuary, with loads of space to run and lots of love coming her way from all the staff members.
How You Can Help
Our sponsor program is what makes top notch care possible for our residents like Kiara. She’d love to have you as her sponsor parent! Or even a one-time donation toward her care would help so much, too.
You’ll find buttons at the top of this page if you’d like to help Kiara in a very special way. Thank you!
